When I try to add website to my FB page in the about section ( I get invalid url, I have disabled/enabled allow crawlers,I have enablabled firefox to show complete url and  have tried with copy/paste, adding www, and just the address this is my site ( I was able to add this to my home/main profile page after security check with photos and verification steps. But still refuses to allow adding to the community page

Can you tell us exactly which error do you get? screenshots appreciated.

Quite strange your site (and all other clients) are working properly.

You can also use a custom domain (your domain name) for that you can try our free trial.

I will work on screenshots but in the about section of FB page to add website simply copy/paste my page and reports invalid url additionally, when clicking in message to your social moderator(today) on your FB page also reports" problem with page" and must go through picture validation process to reach page. If you can read your FB page messages I responded there also with links and more detail
Thanks for quiick response and really great software/website except for this issue.

Thanks for the kind words we work really hard to get this working properly ;)

I just want to make clear that is not an issue related to our software/service. Your site loads perfectly and unluckily we do not own FB ;) maybe contacting them?

What I am 100% sure is that your URL is not ---> that has a redirect to maybe thats the issue? we do this to avoid duplicated URLS on search engines.

What I know since another client told us is that until your URL is not shared X amount of times they wont add it to a "white list" or similar so when you click you are forwarded directly without asking you before.

Please do not contact us using facebook since its not the place we can do support and its not public since this may help other people.

Also check our trial of our paid  products so you can use your own domain name. Maybe that also helps?

Thanks and regards!

Thank you for assistance and time I heve tried sharing and hope that may help resolve this
Here is link to folder shared on google drive with screenshots and 2 html files from facebook debugger/scraper of errors relating to facebook, If anything else I can do please let me know. The errors have been reported to facebook and hope they will resolve on their end. The debugger does show an "og" error but thats way above my skill level.

Hello Thanks,

I will try also to contact them. the OG is the tags that facebook reads. Nothing bad at all.

You can use a custom domain with our paid plans maybe its because we use a subdomain. Try for free for 7 days.

The message that is displayed on FB end I saw it many times on things shared on FB.

Not any answer yet from Facebook.

But have tried with a custom domain today and not any issue at all.

Seems FB doesnt like our subdomains for some short of reason I can not tell.

Yes, I tried that also and worked great, it's a shame too, your package is pretty slick and I wanted to use alongside my FB Audio page. I.m still waiting for a reply from my FB support ticket, I've searched google and many support forums. a lot of folks with same type issies but no answers.
Thanks for replies and your time.

Not any answer yet.

Have you tried with the custom domain?
doccbst1 a couple of years ago - 2015-02-25 14:12:31
Yes, I picked up a free domaiin, free host,(free host too limited to use practically) and set up a wp site, FB let me use that website no problem, so i guess the error is because subdomain, I wounder if they reject all the other subdomains, I'll have to try with my blogger since it's on a subdomain also.
FB finally responded with "thank you for your feedback" but no reason or solution for error. Figures but frustrating.

Custom domain using I meant.

You start a free trial point the domain and share on FB. Should work ;)

I have tried with 3 others not any issue.

Fb has not answered us....lame....
doccbst1 a couple of years ago - 2015-02-25 14:24:03
I just tried using my blogger site and it went through no errors "" so the errors are not just because subdomain. I'm out of ideas.
Chema a couple of years ago - 2015-02-25 14:28:07
They must have whitelisted their subdomains, blogspot is really big.

No you are not out of ideas I am telling you what to do to make it work, please read my comment ;)

Didnt get any reply from FB, not sure what else to do, have you tried the free trial? regards
doccbst1 a couple of years ago - 2015-03-03 18:12:50
I am not much into free trials, I do appreciate your help and efforts. I ask that you delete this thread.
I have progressed to wordpress site with free awpcp classifieds plugin and a store using wp-ecommerce, all free. A .com domain and hosting for $10.95 (total cost for 90 days) then $7.95 monthly for unlimited hosting, accepted readily by facebook, Google analytics and Bing analytics. a little more work but in the long run better for my purposes. My only fault with yclas other than FB issues is I received email from ycas that I had exceeded my ad listings and only had one listing that I had entered as a test listing. I thought you should know. I'm still working on the store but classifieds, blog and forum seem to work fine.
 Thanks again and good luck.

Theres not such thing as their terms :). As soon as you get some traffic your site will slow down or they will ask you to upgrade to a VPS or similar.

Also using WP for a classifieds solution....

I can send you emails from customers that did this before and the consequences ;) friendly tip.
You dont need to use Yclas, you can choose also Open Classifieds in a hosted solution like or any other specific solution for classifieds better than wordpress, I am 100% sure of that ;)

Example: your site empty (no ads!) has a performance of 66%!/AQw3b/

One of our sites hosted by us with 13K ads:!/bY8af/ 87% and we will improve this (it has ugly banners)
Chema a couple of years ago - 2015-03-03 20:54:51
About the email, you are right. Was my mistake did a wrong calculation when sending the emails and send them to almost everyone!, sorry for that.

And lastly think about , updates of software, backups, support, performance etc....

As said really up to you, but I hope you dont face the issues others had.

Thanks for testing us! regards

Thanks for tips, I'm just learning and this is a casual endeavor focused on a specific group of enthusiast.I have no coding skills and struggle just learning basics, all new to me.
If accepted I will upgrade all components of website and hosting. If not, nothing lost but time and a little cash.
I've been snowed in 2 weeks, so plenty of time and have learned a lot, including some wordpress basics Nowhere to go but forward. I did look at open classifieds a few weeks ago and still investigating all options out there.
Thanks  again, I do appreciate your time, services, and efforts
Chema a couple of years ago - 2015-03-03 23:13:43
Of course I love to help ;)

But trust me on this any specific solution for classifieds would be probably better than using WP ;)

If you want something cheap and you do not mind about managing a hosting I really think the best offer you can find out there is and you will get also support from us, that we really care of people or at least we try hehehe

good luck and hope to see you as customer at any of our platforms!
