For places where people still buy from each other.
A town board, a neighbourhood swap, an island's for-sale group that has outgrown Facebook, or a city-wide second-hand market.
A local marketplace, page by page.
Real screenshots of Loop, a demo site made with Yclas. The neighbours and their things are made up; the pages are the real thing.

Snap a photo, check the details, post.
On a phone, a seller takes a photo and the AI suggests a title, description, category and price. They check it and post. Without AI it is still one short form: photos, title, price, condition and neighbourhood.
- Photo listings: 50, 100 or 500 a month by plan, up to 10 per seller a day.
- Mark as sold and renew from My listings, so old things don't linger.
- Bulk actions: deactivate, activate, mark sold, change the price by a percentage, or move up to 200 listings at once.
- Add to home screen: the site installs like an app, with push notifications for messages.

Haggle, ask and agree, without giving out a number.
Buyers message the seller on the site, one thread per listing, with photos and "Seen" receipts, by email and push. They can make an offer the seller accepts, declines or counters. Questions about a listing can be answered in public, so the next buyer doesn't have to ask.
- Offers last seven days, one at a time per conversation, and can be withdrawn.
- Public Q&A: unanswered questions stay private; answered ones show on the listing.
- Suggested replies by AI for sellers, on paid plans, never sent without them.

The questions block is shown here on the default theme.
Show what is for sale around the corner.
Listings carry a neighbourhood and a pin on the map. Buyers browse by area, search on a map, pick a radius or sort by distance from where they are, and save a search to hear about new matches by email or push.
- OpenStreetMap is free; Google Maps works with your own key.
- Saved searches with instant or daily alerts, paused or renamed by the buyer.
- Weekly digest: a round-up of new listings, and coming events if you list them.

A kit for the hardest part: the empty start.
The Share your site page gives you a ready-made message for your WhatsApp and Facebook groups, a QR code and a printable A4 poster for the café notice board. Already selling in a group? Paste the posts and the AI turns them into up to 20 listings at a time, in your categories and currency.
- Nothing is sent for you: each button opens your own WhatsApp, Facebook or email.
- Pasted posts are cleaned: phone numbers, emails, names and links are left out, and you see a dry run you can undo.
- Bring members back: send the weekly digest to existing members who agreed to emails, with one button.
- Four example listings written for your niche when the site is created.

Reviews build trust. Reports keep it.
Buyers and sellers rate each other after a deal, so good sellers stand out. Anyone can report a listing or a conversation with a reason, and your team works through a reports queue. New sellers can wait for approval, and banned words, a blacklist, reCAPTCHA and Akismet keep spam out.
- Moderation your way: publish straight away, approve first, confirm by email or after payment.
- Safety tips in the chat when a message looks like a common scam.
- AI scam checks on paid plans hold suspicious listings for you to look at; nothing is deleted on its own.

Seller pages, followers and time off.
Local shops and busy sellers get a storefront page with their logo, banner and listings. Buyers follow them and get one email a day with their new listings, and a seller going away can pause their shop for up to a year with a message.
- Seller rating on the store page from their reviews.
- Vacation mode stops buys, bookings and offers while they are away, and ends by itself.
- Shop memberships: a monthly plan for sellers who list a lot.

Posting takes a minute, on a phone.
- Photos first: snap, add a title and price, done.
- Condition and brand fields that buyers can filter on.
- Pick-up or delivery, and the neighbourhood.
- Free stuff with a price of zero, and a Wanted category if you like.

Local buy & sell FAQ
Other niches:
How do I get the first listings?
Start with one neighbourhood. Paste posts from your old Facebook or WhatsApp group to turn them into listings, post your own things, and use the Share your site page to send a ready-made message and print a poster. Keep posting free at first.
Can people sell from their phone?
Yes. Every theme is built for phones, the site can be added to the home screen like an app, and on Nova a seller can post from one photo.
Can buyers make offers?
Yes, with messaging on. The seller accepts, declines or counters, and an offer lasts seven days.
Are phone numbers kept private?
With messaging on, buyers contact sellers through the site. You can also show phone numbers only to signed-in visitors.
How do I keep it safe?
Use moderation for new users, reviews between buyers and sellers, reporting with a reports queue, banned words, a blacklist, and reCAPTCHA and Akismet against spam. On paid plans, AI scam checks hold suspicious listings for you.
Can buyers search by distance?
Yes. Switch on maps, and buyers can search on a map, choose a radius or sort by distance from where they are.
Can I bring members back each week?
Yes. The weekly digest emails new listings, and coming events if you list them. One button adds existing members who agreed to emails and logged in during the last year.
Can I charge anything if posting is free?
Yes. Sell bumps to the top, featured listings, boost packages, shop memberships and banner space, and charge to post in chosen categories.
Can sellers take payment on the site?
Yes, on the Marketplace plan with your own Stripe account: Buy now, and a cart for several sellers. Most local deals still happen in person.
Can the site use my language?
Yes. Yclas runs in more than 40 languages, and one site can use several.
