Questions people ask

Do buyers see the seller's email address?

No. With messaging on, conversations happen on your site, and both sides get an email when there's a new message without seeing each other's address.

Is messaging on by default?

It's one switch in your settings. Until you turn it on, the contact button sends the seller an email through your site.

Do offers take payment?

When a listing can be bought on your site, an accepted offer gives the buyer 48 hours to pay at the agreed price. Otherwise the offer simply records the deal.

Are suggested replies sent automatically?

Never. The seller sees the draft in the reply box and decides whether to edit it and send it. Suggested replies are included in the Starter, Professional and Marketplace plans.

Can people turn notifications off?

Yes. Each person chooses which push notifications they get, for messages, saved-search matches and their own listings, and every saved-search email has its own unsubscribe link.

Do notifications work on phones?

Yes. Push notifications work in phone browsers, and on iPhone once the visitor adds your site to their home screen.
