A Zillow clone for your market, without the MLS.

A Zillow clone is a property portal where buyers and renters search homes on a map, save them and book viewings. Yclas gives you the map search, key facts, agency pages, feeds and viewing requests on your own domain. It does not connect to an MLS and does not estimate home values, and this page says what that means.

What made it work

The big portals made house hunting a map.

Zillow, founded in 2006, put homes for sale and rent on a map with prices on every pin, and became a habit for anyone curious about their street. In the UK, Rightmove became the place agents list because buyers look there first.

What a Zillow clone can and cannot have.

Most US portals show every home for sale because they receive MLS data through IDX feeds, which come with membership rules and licence agreements. Yclas does not connect to an MLS and does not offer IDX. Your listings come from agencies and owners who post on your site, or from feeds they send you.

Zillow's Zestimate is an automated valuation built on public records and sales data. Yclas has nothing like it. It shows the price per square metre or foot, and a hint when a home is above or below the average of enough similar homes on your own site, which compares listings on your site and does not value a home.

Outside the US, and for rentals, holiday homes, new builds, land or one city's agencies, you do not need an MLS: you need agencies to list with you.

Listings come fromHow
AgenciesKyero and XML feeds from a link or a file, up to 20,000 properties and 50 photos each, or a CSV with a dry run.

DevelopersBusiness accounts, with every home or plot of a development on their page.

Each feed import is started by you; properties that leave a feed are listed in the import report for you to review.

Draw the area, see the prices.

A list beside a map with a price on every pin. Visitors search as they move the map, draw an area by hand or pick a radius from 1 to 50 km, then filter by sale or rent, type, bedrooms and price. It runs on OpenStreetMap, so there is no map bill.

Agency pages Business accounts on Professional

Agencies get a branded page, and that is what they pay for.

Each approved agency has a page with its logo, licence number, phone, a team of up to 20 agents and all its properties, filtered by sale or rent, type and bedrooms. Its listings carry an Agency badge. This is the Rightmove model: agents pay a monthly fee to be where buyers look.
