phpMyDirectory has closed. Here is where to move your directory.
phpMyDirectory, the PHP directory script, closed on 1 April 2022, and its website now points owners to other platforms. A directory still running on it has had no updates or security fixes since, on PHP versions that are getting older. Here are the options to move to and what each costs in year one. [1]

Year one means what a working site costs in its first year, from each product's own prices. Hosting for self-hosted software depends on the host you choose, so it is left out.

Moving from phpMyDirectory
Bring your listings across as a CSV file with the Yclas import.
- Export your listings and users as CSV files, from the admin area or from the database with phpMyAdmin.
- Start a free trial, choose a business directory in the sign-up wizard, and open Move your site to Yclas, then choose CSV.
- Match the columns, check the dry run (a preview with any errors, nothing is saved yet), then import.
Listings come across with their categories, addresses, phones, websites and photos from their web addresses, and owners as accounts. Passwords are not copied: imported users set a new one. You can undo the latest import within 7 days.
When to stay with phpMyDirectory
- Staying on phpMyDirectory only makes sense for a short time, on a server you keep locked down, while you move.
Questions people ask
Other alternatives:
Is phpMyDirectory still available?
No. Its website says phpMyDirectory closed on 1 April 2022.
Is it safe to keep running phpMyDirectory?
A closed product gets no security fixes, so the risk grows as PHP and the server move on. Moving to a maintained platform is the safer choice.
Can I move my phpMyDirectory listings to Yclas?
Yes, with the CSV import: export your listings and users as CSV files and bring them in after a dry run you can check. You can undo the latest import within 7 days.
Is there a hosted replacement?
Yes. Yclas is hosted, with claims, paid listing levels, reviews, deals, leads and business data built in, from $19 a month for 3 months, then $69 a month. Brilliant Directories and eDirectory are hosted too.
