A community marketplace platform for the people you already know.

Yclas is a community marketplace platform for clubs, parishes, neighbourhood groups, alumni networks and associations: a place where members buy, sell, lend and give to each other. Keep it open to everyone, limit sign-up to your members, or make the whole site private.

Who it is for

Private community classifieds, or open to the street.

A neighbourhood marketplace and a members-only exchange need the same pages. What changes is who can see them and who can join.

NeighbourhoodsA neighbourhood marketplace for a few streets, open to anyone nearby.
Clubs and associationsClassifieds for my members: kit, boats, bikes or instruments between people who share a hobby.
Faith and school communitiesA parish or a school's families swapping uniforms, furniture and help.
Alumni and professional networksA closed board where members trade and recommend services to each other.

Decide who joins and who can look.

Three switches in Settings cover most communities. A private site shows nothing but your legal pages to visitors who are not signed in; they see a page you write and a form to ask for access, which emails you. Allowed email domains let only addresses like @yourclub.org sign up. Or keep sign-up open and approve new members' listings before they go live.

  • Private site: nobody signs up alone; you add members, import them from a CSV file, or answer access requests.
  • Verify email addresses before anyone can sign in.
  • Require login to open a listing, to message, or to post.
  • Hide from search engines while the community is private.

Members talk to each other Messaging add-on · offers and Q&A in Settings

Messages, offers and questions on the site.

Members message each other in one thread per listing, with photos, "Seen" receipts and push notifications. Offers last seven days and can be countered. Questions on a listing can be answered in public for everyone.

  • No phone numbers needed: contact stays on the site.
  • Suggested replies by AI on paid plans, never sent without the member.

Built around members Every plan

Bring members back every week.

The weekly digest sends new listings and coming events. Pages, a blog, an FAQ and a forum sit on the same site, so club news and the marketplace live together. Members follow each other and hear when someone they trust posts.

  • Digest for existing members: one button adds members who agreed to emails.
  • Reviews after a deal, shown on each member's page.
  • Forum, pages and blog on every plan.

Questions

Community marketplace software FAQ

Part of:

What is a community marketplace platform?

Software for a marketplace that belongs to a group: members post things to sell, lend or give away, talk to each other and rate each other, under rules the organisers set.

Can I make private community classifieds?

Yes. With Private site on, visitors who are not signed in see only a page you write and a form to request access. Your legal pages stay public.

How do members join a private site?

You add them in the admin, import them from a CSV file, or answer the access requests that come to your email. Nobody can create an account alone while the site is private.

Can I let only people with our email address join?

Yes. List your domains under Allowed email domains, such as yourclub.org, and switch on email verification.

Can several people help run it?

Yes. On Professional you can add moderators and editors with their own rights.

Is a community marketplace platform expensive?

Starter is $19 a month with up to 5,000 listings, and Yclas takes no commission. Many communities charge nothing and cover it with one sponsor.

Can members pay each other on the site?

On the Marketplace plan, with your Stripe account. Most community deals are settled in person, and that works on every plan.

Can we move from a Facebook group?

Yes. Paste posts from the group and the AI turns them into listings, up to 20 at a time, with contact details left out.
